Comments:

Ekari is spoken in the Paniai district of Irian
Jaya, Indonesia, near the Wissel Lakes. Doble (1987)
describes some limited pitch-accent contrasts. All vowels
occur long and two-vowel sequences with a high second
vowel occur. Other sequences of unlike vowels assimilate
and occur as long vowels (e.g. a + e -> ee).
