Austin (1981) analyzes the alveolar trill /r/ as
a stop /d/. This phoneme does not occur initially;
intervocalically it is a trill; in post-nasal and
post-lateral position it is a voiced stop with trilled
release [dr]. This stop is considered epenthetic here.
