Even is spoken in the Yakut ASSR and the
Kamchatka Peninsula of the USSR and along the Okhotsk
Artic coast. All simple vowels can appear long. Low vowel
/a_/ is grouped with the pharyngealized vowels to form one
set of harmonizing vowels. /k/ is uvular before this set
of vowels.
